The Ford F-150 is famous for being able to provide the perfect truck, to any consumer looking for a pickup. Famously, anyone can find the pickup truck they want at Ford. And the top two trims provide the best possible blend of creature comforts and capability.

The F-150 Platinum is a lower level trim than the Limited, and comes in almost $20,000 cheaper at around $66,000 in 2023, while the Limited trim starts at around $85,000. The main difference aside from price, is that every feature that is a package on the Platinum, comes as standard on the Limited trim. The Limited comes in at a much higher price because it comes with all of the creature comforts that can be installed on a Ford truck. It also comes standard with the hybrid engine and the Limited Equipment group. Not only that but it comes with all of the safety packages, tow packages, and the nicest interior package possible. The Platinum also comes with a high comfort interior, and it has more interior options to choose from. The Platinum’s biggest difference is the V8 engine that comes standard. Making this one of the better towing trims in the lineup. The Platinum trim also does not come with the 4wd standard, and so consumers must upgrade to the 4wd option. Also on the Platinum the towing packages do not come standard.

The F-150 Limited is the higher level trim on the Ford truck. Across the F-series Limited means the top of the top, and the best possible blend of capability and creature comforts. The Platinum comes in just below the Limited in terms of trim level, however it generally comes with a price tag that is about $20,000 cheaper. This fact might make it a more desirable trim. And it comes with the option to add only the towing packages or safety packages you want. It does come with a similar level of interior appointments as the Limited truck, but the badging will not be present throughout the interior. The Platinum package also comes with the second most powerful engine in the lineup, a 400 horsepower V8, and has the option to be upgraded to a twin turbo V6 that also gets 400 horsepower, or the hybrid platform, that is a turbo V6 and outputs 430 horsepower. The Limited only comes with the hybrid powertrain, which gets the best gas mileage across the lineup getting 24 to 26 mpg.
