What is the 2023 Ford F-150 Lightning battery range?
There are two F-150 Lightning battery options: standard and extended. The base version, a 98-kWh battery pack, lets you travel up to 230 miles between charges. The extended-range 131-kWh battery pack lives up to its name, supplying 320 miles of battery power.
Both options are powerful. The standard 98-kWh battery helps you tow and haul heavy equipment with 426 horsepower and 775 pound-feet of torque. The standard pack helps you haul max loads of up to 2,235 pounds.
And the extended-range 131-kWh battery is even more powerful, with 563 horses and 775 pound-feet of torque. It’s what you want if you want to tow max loads of 10,000 pounds.
How many 2023 F-150 Lightning trucks will Ford produce?
After Ford was overwhelmed with reservations and the 2022 F-150 Lightning quickly sold out, Ford made plans to increase its production of this EV truck. Ford says it will churn out 150,000 trucks by 2023. Production on the latest EV truck is set to begin this October. Still, Ford may have to increase its output even further. Many drivers who put in an order for a 2022 F-150 Lightning will be receiving a 2023 model instead! Ford hopes to catch up to demand by the 2024 model year.
